What the Friends Do

Please join us!

Composed entirely of volunteers, the Friends of the Jewish Community Library is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1984. Its primary mission is to raise funds for the programs of the Jewish Community Library, a program of Jewish LearningWorks. Last year, the Friends granted more than $90, 000 to the Library for general operations, acquisition of materials, public programs, and book club services.

The Friends promotes the Library in the Jewish and general community, and assists the Library in its goal of serving the entire community as a resource for Jewish enlightenment and education.
