Composed entirely of volunteers, the Friends of the Jewish Community Library is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1976 and incorporated in 1984. Its primary mission is to raise funds for the programs of the Jewish Community Library. The Friends’ fundraising accounts for well over 90 percent of the Library’s operating budget.
The Friends also promotes the Library in the Jewish and general community, and assists the Library in its goal of serving the entire community as a resource for Jewish enlightenment and education.
