What the Friends Do

Please join us!

Composed entirely of volunteers, the Friends of the Jewish Community Library is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1976 and incorporated in 1984. Its primary mission is to raise funds for the programs of the Jewish Community Library. Last year, the Friends granted more than $130,000 to support the Library’s general operations, public programs, book club services, and acquisition of materials and e-books.

The Friends promotes the Library in the Jewish and general community, and assists the Library in its goal of serving the entire community as a resource for Jewish enlightenment and education.
